When Glitch cancelled today, I thought I would take out the 1200, but the DRz was packed and at the front of the garage. DRz again.

On my way to Whittlesea, I had a route on the GPS from a few years ago, worked ok.




Stayed on the main roads through Mt. Disappointment area, the rest looked a bit slippery. A lot of road closed signs as well. It was a bit cold and misty in spots, but didn't rain.








First time I had actually seen Strath Creek Falls. Just a short walk then zoom on the camera.



Murchison Gap was a bit clearer than last time.









Lunch at Strath Creek, then home via Upper King Parrot Rd and Break of Day Rd. There were a lot of paragliders up and about, but access was through a private property, so I didn't push my luck.








Turned out a nice day, but could have been crap very easily. Cheers

Banged my head a few times today for maybe jumping the gun this morning....torn between the ride, a pushie-jaunt, a longer walk, the fog up north, the clearing skies, the soaked and spongy outdoors....this could have gone any which way at any time and location.

It sure turned out a great, sunny day...but anything beyond the main paths/ roads was a soggy/ muddy affair, even on the pushies.

There is nothing happening at Strath Creek. Lots of passing traffic, a couple of cars parked outside the building, but not much else. I wonder what happened to the crowd funding money that went into opening the pub, or was that an urban myth?

I think that was what they wanted. Last I heard there was about $1.75 that had been raised.
