Well while some are no doubt inebriated in a motel somewhere in Northern Vic here is my one day ride report of a two day ride.
Everybody was shooting at the clouds. Not sure why.
And a bit later on we still had clouds
My bike after having had it's band-aid applied after its little nap.
This is what Donnelly Weir looks like for those who thought chat was better photography.
Interesting phenomenon. Every time I point my camera at a Triumph or owner it takes photos that look old fashioned
See. Did it again
When we got to the lookout above Lake Eildon the view was, well okay.
And after lunch (Thanks Fuzzy) I decided it was time to head home and confuse the bike counter people so I wandered back to Thornton then around the back of the Cathedral Ranges. On the way up from Cooks Mill to Sugarloaf Saddle I heard a metallic noise on the gravel road and stopped to find my 12mm allen key on the ground 50m behind the bike. How the hell it came loose from the tool kit and then fell out I have no idea (nothing else was missing). The road from Sugarloaf Saddle down towards Marysville is, ah interesting and displaying a sad lack of maintenance.
When I hit Mt Margaret Road I hung a left to go mup over the saddle and down Lady Talbot drive into Marysville.
The road was in great shape
but some 15km later
the sign on the logs says Lady Talbot Road is closed. Thanks Vicroads. Maybe a little bit earlier with the notice next time perhaps.
From there it was back down the hill. At least I could see the view this way.
Through Marysville, Acheron Way, Warburton, some other roads and home a bit after 5 with around 400 more kms on the speedo.
