If I hadda know you were gunna stick to good roads, I coulda joined youse on the ST.

Roads were excellent...both tar and gravel.
Had my thoughts after all the rain lately... but the dirt/ gravel were just PERFECT. Just damp enough for "no dust" and extra grip, hardly any washouts/ channels and just the very occasional short stretch of "dark+ tacky".
Pick your line well and stay on the boil.
Shittiest bit would have been the Melba Hwy....lots of 40kmh slow-downs for huge potholes.

Looking back from the top....that hill with the "skislope" is the Kerrisdale Railway Hill.

Come back and bring the Monaro in a few months....foxtails galore!

Bypassed Yea to the south via Dairy Creek and Clarks Rds., staying among the green hills and full dams and creeks.
Lunch "on the rocks" along the way....

Hey Pete and Ian

Love the photos. They make me look like a competent off-roade rider - SO it is now time to admit that I embarrassingly dropped the bike just past the Flowerdale pub entering the first dirt section of the ride.

Easiest of turns changing from 2nd to 1st gear but instead finding Neutral and dropping it as I went to accelerate. VERY Embarrassing and can't imagine what Ian was thinking when he watched this spectacle.

All good after that incident

Thanks again guys. Was great fun

As Williamson says, what happens on the ride, stays on the ride. You had picked it up before I had gotten off my bike to help, so it doesn't count :)

Spewing i missed this ride. I haven't really had much time in my life for forums and social media lately, and for the same reason, I woulnd't have made it anyway, given in the 8 weeks since we got back from our ride to Brisneyland, I've only had 2 Saturdays and 2 Sundays off work, so I wouldn't have been able to make it anyway. Thanks for the pics. I was just thinking the other day it's almost time to think about another trip to the Strathbogies. I can't believe how long it has been since the ride up The Paps which was last January. It's almost the last time I had the Terra out on the road.

I'm feeling much the same @nev

Between all my work travel, moving office and family life, it's leaving little time for much else at the moment, sadly :(
